This is Sam's original challenge, even though she did update it before we got into a fight. In italics is her challenge and I added something extra at the bottom. I have seen a few stories floating around where Harry is wrongfully prosecuted for a murder and is sent to Azkaban. I find these intriguing because of the many different ways it could end up as. So, I challenge you this:
1) The victim cannot be one of the Weasleys or one of Harry's 'sworn enemies'.
2) It has to be near the end of Harry's education at Hogwarts; sixth or seventh year. 3) NO ONE believes he is innocent except Harry himself. No, not even Hagrid. At first. 4) Remus becomes a bad guy to Harry, firmly believing Harry is guilty. 5) For once, no, I am not specifying a pairing or a genre of 'ship. However, Harry cannot be paired with anyone. Absolutely no partner for Harry; male, female, unknown, or whatever. 6) Voldemort must take over Azkaban in the near future and tries to get Harry onto his side. 7) Snape gets Harry to Hogwarts. 8) There has to be a witness to Harry's supposed crime, someone reliable so someone in his close circle of friends. 9) Sirius is dead. Deader than a doornail, pushing up daisies, kicked the can, however you want to phrase it, he is beyond the world of the living and will not come back anytime soon. 10) Harry has to be a bitter, changed young man when he is 'rescued', I suppose you could call it. 11) If Harry is to get revenge, it can't be something quick and extreme like blowing up Hogwarts or something that is completely anti-climatic. Joining Voldemort, self-imposed exile/turning his back on the wizarding world the moment he gets free, careful manipulation of the side of light or darkness, etc. Let it be something that is truly cleaver. 12) The story, obviously, must be mainly based around Harry and whoever the main character is that is also in the story. It cannot be completely around romance or education. 13) Hogwarts could be closed off as a school and be turned into a home base for the Order of the Phoenix, if you like. If you don't, then ignore this. This part is optional. 14) Harry can be looney, or he could be completely sane. Or in between. I am not going to be picky about this, as long as he isn't some cheerful idiot. 15) Somewhere, put that this is a response to my challenge, so I get some credit of putting the idea into your head. That is the end of this challenge, the Wrongful Imprisonment one as I dubbed it ^_^ all right, people, here's my part of this. I have failed miserably with this challenge, at least in both Sam's mind and my own. I was thinking of rewriting my response to this challenge, Jaded Eyes, but then the fight occured and I'm just not ready to handle it. So, I'm dropping it. Some readers won't be happy about it, but for this challenge, and for the people who want to respond to this challenge, I am allowing the use of what I already have of Jaded Eyes to be used if a writer wants it. Parts of it, all of it, only the prologue or one chaper, whatever. Just say that the part you used was written my me, DC James, and it's good. All I have of Jaded Eyes can be found either on my website (http://kuraokamiko.wishing-blue.net) or at FanFiction.Net. Good luck and great inspiration!
